Favorite GT class and why? Physics I, It was a challenging class that most people didn’t do well in. I was able to work hard and be one of the few people who got an A in the class. Also, the material made a lot of sense and has been applied to a lot of the classes I’ve taken since then.
What are your future goals? To get both my B.S. and M.S. from Georgia Tech then go on to pursue a career in the Civil Engineering field. After I get my P.E. and enough experience, I hope to open my own Civil Engineering Firm.
Accomplishments: Academic All-American diver, Two Time All-Academic ACC athlete; 2009 Tommy Towles Scholar-Athlete Award recipient of the GT Swim and Dive Team; Recipient of the Dorothy C. Yancy Scholarship (top minority student for Fall 2007); Recipient of Georgia Engineering Foundation United Consulting Scholarship; 2-time OMED Gold Tower Award Recipient; Faculty Honors (4.0 GPA) four consecutive semesters
Favorite Activity (outside of GT): Sleeping
What advise would you give freshmen? Get involved in a healthy amount of activities from the start of your semester so that you can create a set schedule to follow. If you can learn to manage your time early in you GT career you will almost be guaranteed to succeed. Also, get to know upperclassman. You’d be surprised by how much they can help you along the way.
