UPDATE: OMED Study Sessions will close @ 5pm on Wednesday in observance of the Break. Note also our Extended Academic Support Services for Dead Week and Finals Fall2009, including Extended Hours (Study Sessions 2pm-2am, building open 24hrs during Finals), corporate-sponsored Study Nights (free food), and expanded Freshman Concept Classes. Closed for the Holiday, Study Sessions will resume Monday 11/30 and will continue until Thurs 12/10 including operation on Fri and Sat.
OMED provides an array of free academic support services:
- Chapin building open weekdays from 8am to 10pm
- Study Sessions with academic assistance held in ILARC Sunday-Thursday, 2PM – 10PM
- Individual and Group Study sessions available at all times per student request
- Periodic Review Sessions for common courses, including CONCEPT CLASSES
- OMED tutorial staff comprised of Doctoral, Masters level, and upperclassman students who have excelled academically, several of whom are former Teaching Assistants or are seeking careers in research or academia
- ONLINE tutorials now available
- Video Problem Library now available

- Academic Coaching is available, including support and utilization of the OTHER TUTORING services offered on campus
- OMED services are always FREE and open to ALL Tech students
New Program: under the OMED Guided Group Study program, you and a group of your classmates can have a course-specific tutor meet with you at times that you designate for the duration of the semester. While we do have a multitude of tutors on staff, this program is flexible enough to allow you to select the tutor, in the instance that you know of someone that already works well with your group. That is, if you and a group of students are already informally working with a friend or associate on a Tech course, let us know and we’ll pay that person as is in keeping with our mission of Academic Support. Please take advantage of this and our other Academic Support services.
